What is GripeFind?

GripeFind is an AI-powered research tool that scans Reddit, Hacker News, and independent forums for real complaints, then scores them as business opportunities across five dimensions. Instead of scrolling threads for hours, you type a niche and get validated pain points sorted by opportunity score.

How is GripeFind different from GummySearch?

GummySearch shut down after Reddit's API changes. GripeFind covers the same job (finding pain points in online communities) without depending on the Reddit API, and adds Hacker News and forum coverage, AI scoring, an opportunity pipeline, and standing alerts.

How much does GripeFind cost?

The free Reader plan includes 3 research queries to start (then 1 per month), the weekly issue by email, and the opportunity pipeline. The Subscriber plan is $29 per month for 50 queries, 5 standing alerts re-run every 6 hours, and email notifications on new high-scoring matches.

Where does GripeFind get its data?

Each query runs live searches across Reddit, Hacker News, and independent forums, roughly 12 searches per query. Claude reads the results, extracts the underlying complaints, and scores each one for pain intensity, frequency, willingness to pay, competition, and buildability.

How are opportunity scores calculated?

Every gripe is scored 0-100 as a composite of five dimensions: how painful the problem is, how often it comes up, whether people would pay for a fix, how crowded the space is, and how feasible a solution is to build. The weekly issue publishes the top-scoring opportunities.
