1. Introduction
GripeFind (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates gripefind.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our service. By using GripeFind, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
OAuth Authentication Data
When you sign in via Google or GitHub OAuth, we receive and store:
- Your email address
- Your display name
- Your avatar/profile picture URL
- A unique identifier from the OAuth provider
We do not receive or store your OAuth provider password. Authentication tokens are handled securely and not persisted beyond your session.
Usage Data
We collect data you create while using the service: research queries you run, opportunities you save to your pipeline, notes and status updates on pipeline items, and your subscription plan details.
Cookies & Session Data
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is essential for the service to function and is deleted when you log out or your session expires. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and maintain your account
- To provide and operate the GripeFind service
- To enforce usage limits based on your subscription plan
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To send transactional emails (e.g. billing receipts)
- To improve the service and fix bugs
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate GripeFind:
Brave Search API
Used to execute web search queries on your behalf. Your research topics are sent to Brave’s API. Brave’s privacy policy applies to their handling of these requests. Brave does not receive your account information.
Anthropic Claude API
Used to analyze search results and score business opportunities. Search result text is sent to Anthropic’s API for analysis. Anthropic’s privacy policy applies. Your account information is not shared with Anthropic.
Stripe
Used to process Pro plan payments. When you upgrade, you’re redirected to Stripe’s secure checkout. GripeFind does not store your credit card details. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to payment processing.
Cloudflare
Our infrastructure runs on Cloudflare Workers and D1 (database). Cloudflare processes requests and stores data in accordance with their data processing agreement.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data and research history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request data deletion, we will remove your personal information and associated data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. billing records).
Search results and opportunity data you generate are stored in our database and associated with your account. You can delete individual pipeline items at any time.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent for data processing

7. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure session management, and access controls. No system is completely secure, but we take data security seriously and will notify affected users of any breach as required by applicable law.
8. Children’s Privacy
GripeFind is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
