Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GripeFind (“the Service”) at gripefind.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

GripeFind is an AI-powered market research tool that helps entrepreneurs and indie hackers discover business opportunities by analyzing online discussions, forums, and communities. The Service includes:

  • AI-assisted research queries that surface pain points and opportunities
  • Opportunity scoring across multiple business dimensions
  • A pipeline tool to track and manage discovered opportunities
  • Shareable research result links

The Service is provided on a subscription basis with a free tier and a paid Pro tier. Features and usage limits vary by plan.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must authenticate via a supported OAuth provider (Google or GitHub). You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Ensuring your account information is accurate and up to date
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their permission or use the Service if you are under 13 years of age.

4. Usage Rules

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Submit false, misleading, or deceptive content
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits or circumvent billing
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
  • Use automated bots or scripts to abuse the Service
  • Resell or redistribute access to the Service without permission
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Engage in any activity that disrupts or damages the Service or its infrastructure

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice or refund.

5. Subscription & Billing

GripeFind offers a free tier and a paid Pro tier. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. By subscribing to the Pro plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
  • We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

Usage limits (queries per month) reset at the start of each billing period. Unused queries do not roll over.

6. Intellectual Property

Our IP

GripeFind, including its name, logo, design, code, and AI-generated scoring methodology, is owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our express written permission.

Your Content

You retain ownership of the research topics, notes, and pipeline data you create. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it to train AI models.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • That the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • That AI-generated research results are accurate, complete, or reliable
  • That any business opportunities identified will be profitable

AI-generated opportunity scores and analysis are for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial, legal, or business advice. Always conduct your own due diligence before making business decisions.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GRIPEFIND AND ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, AND EMPLOYEES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GripeFind and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@gripefind.com. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction.
